Similar to RM10, not buying my Grandmother's council house when my Mum told me too when I was 18

They wanted 5k 40 years ago, now worth about 250k.

At 18 a mortgage is the last thing in your mind !

Though massively regret it now

Re: Regrets
I've been thinking about regrets a lot since my wife died - tell you what they can weigh an absolute ton!

My biggest one is constantly saving for retirement - now that she's not going to be there with me to enjoy it, it all seems very pointless.

I should've spent some of it going to Metz...

Ending a couple of good relationships through the stupidity of youth. I wasn't ready to settle down at the time but a couple of good ones got through my fingers.

Sticking with the same job in the same company for too long in my 20s. I should have moved around more which probably would have helped my career a bit. Not that it's shit now, but I regret not picking up a bit more experience and going up the ladder sooner.

And not betting 10 grand on Leicester to win the premier league in 2015-16

''Not going to Metz''

Why does this game keep getting mentioned on here?? It was one trip to Europe about 30 fucking years ago, and yet still people bang on and fucking on about it, makes us look fucking small time, which we are of course.

I missed Metz myself as I started a new job on that Monday and didn't have the neck to ask for time off straight off the bat, so yes I regret it myself, among many other things I regret in this fucking cunt of a world where children starve and are abused, and pensioners get murdered in their own beds, so please stop reminding me about this game every fucking week, you tiresome cunts.

My heart goes out to you, that's one I was estranged from both my boys for 7 years but now we are back in touch and have a good Father/Son relationship I promise you I will never take it for granted again and will hug them more than they want me to.

Your words carry weight.

Re: Regrets

Again. A good point.

The definition of Regret:

a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over an occurrence or something that one has done or failed to do.

Well in that case I HAD regrets but used them to make changes and now no longer have any regrets.

It's been over three years now since the car crash, and every day there is that nagging thought in the back of your mind. Don't think you can every get over it, just have to learn to live with it. Some days are worse than others...
